KeKe Palmer Urges National Guard To March With Protesters

Beloved actress and tv host KeKe Palmer went viral on social media after she made a moving speech urging the national guard troops to march with protestors and “make history with us”.

“You have to pay attention about what’s going on, or else we have a president who’s trying to incite a race war. Our borders are closed, we can’t leave. We have people here that need your help. This is when y’all stand together with the community, with society, to stop the government oppression. Period. We need you, so march with us”.

She continued by saying, “March beside us. Get your people. March beside us. Let the revolution be televised. March beside us and show us that you’re here for us. Make history with us!”

While a crowd gathered around her videotaping the speech, the troops told Palmer that they could only march with them to the end of the block due to them being stationed to that specific post. The troops eventually took a knee as a symbolic gesture to stand against police brutality.

After Palmer’s video went viral, she appeared on Good Morning America and stated that the encounter was random after she asked the people she was marching with why the troops weren’t marching with them.

“I was just talking to the people that I was marching with. I just posed the question of ‘Why are they not with us? Why are they not able to be with us?’ Here we are marching in peace with purpose, and I’m sure many of them feel the same way as we do. I wanted us to just unite as human beings above all”, she stated.
