An Ecuadorian social media star and beauty queen, Landy Parraga Goyburo, aged 23, was shot dead after she posted her meal ”octopus ceviche” which gave away her location to her killers.
Goyburo took part in the 2022 Miss Ecuador contest.
After sharing her lunch to her large social media following, her two unidentified killers shot her at her lunch location in broad daylight after tracking down where she was eating and meeting with friends.
The CCTV footage shows the assassins walking into the venue and shooting her dead at a restaurant in Quevedo.
She hadn’t noticed them coming in, as one of the men run towards her and a friend, as the man shot towards her and the man she was with, he ducked for cover as she was repeatedly shot at as she lay lifeless on the floor.
They both fled the scene as she lay on the floor with the CCTV footage showing blood and a gun shot wound on her leg.
Police have beeen dealing with the ongoing investigation to understand who they are, and the reasons behind the attack.
They believe to have been hired by the widow of Leandro Norero – a cartel boss who had an affair with Párraga before his violent death in prison.
