Influencer,Lola Clark, better known as BlasianBabyLola has just released the official female anthem of the Summer entitled “Classy”! The single is all about self-esteem and self-love.This is a major move for Blasian Baby Lola on her road to stardom. Lola says she wrote “classy” to spread awareness to females that being confident in their own skin is not a problem. She also wants them to know that following trends and flashy styles isn’t something you have to do to be beautiful. “My goal is to always be an inspiration to others. Music heals, inspires and empowers me and I hope to provide all of those things to the people listening to my songs,” says Lola.
In a recent interview, We had the pleasure of catching up with her to talk about her new single and to see how social distancing is treating her:
We’ve seen several artists create music videos during this time of social distancing and quarantine. Is a music video in the works for “classy”?
There will definitely be a video for “Classy” eventually. With quarantine precautions still in effect, it does limit a lot of things that I want to incorporate in the video. This song has a strong message so having certain things in the video is really important to me. But there are definitely other songs and videos in the works that everyone is going to most certainly enjoy.
What has music been for you during social distancing? Has it increased your creativity?
Music has been such an amazing thing for me during this pandemic and while taking part in social distancing. I have really been enjoying music from Jhene Aiko, Partynextdoor and Drake. Not only has this pandemic given me more time to listen to other artists, it has triggered my creativity. Solitude has allowed me to experiment with different types of styles and beats that I never expected myself to experiment with. Being stuck in the house and limited to do certain things has definitely took a toll on me but music has allowed me to speak about certain situations and speak on my emotions currently and things I have experienced from the past. I am grateful for the process and to have this art in my life.
Is there new music on the way?
Yes always! Every 6 weeks I plan to continue giving my listeners something new. I will continue giving them the type of music that they love to hear from me. I’m super excited to share some different projects and different songs for everyone to hear.
Who would you like to collab with in the studio once COVID passes?
My dream collab would be with Jhene Aiko. Right now, If I could collab with someone, it would have to be Asia Monet Ray. She’s a young and talented singer and songwriter. I feel like both of us are very big on uplifting young women and embracing our confidence so I feel like we could make a great mesh for uplifting women collab and entertaining people.
*“Classy” is now available on all major platforms including iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.
