Over the weekend, Kamala Harris made history as the first woman, woman of color, and HBCU graduate to become vice president elect of the United States. Although her name is second to Biden’s on the ballot, she is first in so many ways. In the past, Harris has been a district attorney and was the second Black Woman and first Indian Woman in this country’s history to be elected a U.S. senator and now she’s headed to the White House.
