Riverdale Star Vanessa Morgan’s husband files for divorce

Actress Vanessa Morgan has been in the spotlight starring in the hit TV show Riverdale the last four years. Recently, she opened up about the teen drama and its lack of authenticity with their Black characters during the Black Lives Matter Movement. This past Friday she cheerfully announced on Instagram that she was pregnant with a baby boy with a picture from her gender reveal party. She wrote:

“Was debating keeping this part of my life hidden but I knew people would see pictures eventually with my belly & I wanted you guys to hear it from me,” she continues. “I do want to keep this chapter of my life private but did want to be the first to share the news.”
“I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January,” Morgan continued. “It’s almost like everything [sic] I thought mattered in this life has completely changed… We’re here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious.” She displayed a slideshow of images one including when she first took her pregnancy tests back in May and an adorable ultrasound. The actress seemed very overjoyed and days ago her husband, Chicago White Sox pitcher filed for divorce according to Chicago Tribune on June 19.

The couple got engaged a year ago and tied the knot this past January with a private ceremony in Florida, that included Riverdale Star Madelaine Petsch as her bridesmaid. Kopech has recently been linked to reality star Brielle Biermann from Don’t Be Tardy on Bravo.
There is no news on why the couple is splitting up and Morgan has yet to respond to any of these reports. There could be more updates on the reasoning for the couple’s divorce soon. Wishing Morgan a good pregnancy and all the best for her during this time.
