Kandi Burruss – the longest running housewife of Atlanta – is retiring from the hit show.
Burruss has been on the Real Housewives of Atlanta for the past 14 seasons and has said that she has decided to not continue on the show this year, saying that the network ”allowed us [RHOA] to sit a little too long”.
Burruss has been on the show since the second season launched in 2009, but since then she has said how she has started working on a lot of other things, including some bigger projects that she has coming up soon.
When speaking about her departure Burruss said ” A friend of mine asked ‘Why do you keep doing it? And I was like, ‘I think because I’ve been doing it so long. It feels weird not to do it. I was like, I’m going to take a break. I’m going to take a moment”.
This could be an indicator that it might not be a permanent decision but we do know that it will be at least until the season after the new one returning this year.
Hundreds of fans of the show took to X to share their opinions on her leaving, ”I literally can’t imagine the show without Kandi”.
Andy Cohen also took to social media with a photo of him with Kandi, with the caption ”What can I say about Kandi? One of the greats! A superstar! What a run!”
