Rebeca Andrade, 22, became the first female from her nation to win an olympic gold medal in artistic gymnastics of her nation this Sunday, August 1st. She also won silver in the individual all-around earlier this Tokyo 2020 Games.
Andrade was a favorite in Rio 2016, where she did well in qualifying but ended up finishing in 11th place. After many struggles since then, she passed (15.083) MyKayla Skinner of the U.S., a 14.916.
