Michael B. Jordan sure does know how to impress his people.
The Black Panther actor is partnering with the company Lyft, to provide free rides to people of color who are college graduates. The rides will take place in under developed communities in New York and Los Angeles. Transportation will be available for those who need to get to job interviews, internships, career counseling, etc.
Jordan says, “Reliable transportation is often taken for granted. It plays a critical role in arriving on time to a job interview, the first day and every workday after.” Chloe Slobotkin, of Lyft Culture and Entertainment, says it’s an honor to have Jordan join the LyftUp Alliance. “We’re proud to be partnering to give young people the access to transportation they need to pursue their career goals and be set up for long-term success. We believe in the power of transportation and feel it is our responsibility to make it accessible to all.”
This isn’t the first time the company Lyft has bettered surrounding communities. Back in January of this year, they partnered with LeBron James to give teens free access to bikes.
