Miami not only is a city for parties, beaches, and restaurants. It is also a city for selfies. There are three major museums dedicated to selfies, and now one of them opened an experience to celebrate women.

The Selfie Museum in Brickell will open The Womanish experience in Miami on June 30. The creators, Dionna and Danyelle Gray, and the creative director Emily Dahlquist, had already opened this experience back in 2020 in Chicago, but now decided to celebrate women as well in Miami. The exhibit is a 40,000 square foot multi-level experience that combines contemporary art and a thought-provoking interactive adventure.

“This experience is a culturally-inclusive safe space that provokes imagination, conversation, and change around breaking single-definition stereotypes,” said Dionna Gray in a press release.

“ ‘Womanish’ is more than an exhibit, it’s a pro-womxn empowerment movement. No matter how you identify, you will be able to encounter, contemplate, and connect with some components of the unique installations and curated programming we have,” Gray added.

Visitors can buy their tickets on the website of Wearewomanish.com, and everybody is welcomed to take pictures with their smartphones, although you have the option of renting a Polaroid that comes with 10 prints for the experience.
