Lecrae and the executive director of Love Beyond Walls, Terrence Lester, worked together to help the homeless people of Atlanta amidst the spread of the Coronavirus. Yesterday the duo dispersed over 15 portable hand washing stations around the city.
“When the pandemic hit, I thought, ‘What is the homeless community doing about these warnings’. There are three ways to tap in when major issues arise in society. One is publicity- making your voice known and speaking out, whether it’s on social media or otherwise. Two is policies- making sure you’re informed and involved in laws that benefit us. Three is productivity- making sure you’re productive, and for some of us, right now, that means
staying home”, Lecrae told WSB-TV.
Each sanitary station has five gallons of water and refillable soap dispensers. Lecrae and the foundation also passed out an assortment of free burgers and sandwiches.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, there has been 420 confirmed cases in Georgia and 13 deaths.
