We all remember Deebo, the neighborhood bully, from the hit movie Friday. The actor who played him, Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister, has reportedly passed away at the age of 62.
According to TMZ, law enforcement received a call to the late actor’s home where they found an unconscious male. After transporting him to the hospital, he was later pronounced deceased. While there has been no real cause of death stated, another source told TMZ that Lister had been experiencing “Covid-19 like symptoms.”
Several celebrities have expressed their grief over the death of Lister. One being his co-star Ice Cube. He took to Instagram to write, “RIP Tiny ‘Deebo’ Lister. America’s favorite bully was a born entertainer who would pop into character at the drop of a hat terrifying people on and off camera. Followed by a big smile and laugh. Thank you for being a good dude at heart. I miss you already.”
He is not the first actor from the movie ‘Friday’ to pass away, however. We have lost the legends like, John Witherspoon, also known as Pops, Bernie Mac, and Yvette Wilson. Their legacies continue to live on.
On behalf of Aman Magazine, we send our deepest condolences to Tom Lister’s close friends and family.
