Meghan Markle has recently released her new Spotify podcast ‘Archetypes’, after a long awaited release to see what the Duchess had in store, it seems to be that it certainly isn’t everybody’s (most peoples) cup of tea.
It isn’t news that Markle more often than not receives hate filled comments no matter what she does, but have the critics got a point this time round?
The podcast episode in question is referring to the episode that feature’s Markle’s ‘dear friend’ Serena Williams, which discusses ‘’misconception of ambition’ and the misogyny towards woman from the beginning of time.
She opens up the episode speaking about her views on a certain advert that insinuated that only woman can be found in the kitchen, going on to play a recording of her younger self [aged 11] and her thoughts on that, and what went on to urge her to try and make a change for woman.
The idea behind the podcast episode was to have a conversation with Williams, however many critics of the podcast have said it was less of a conversation, and more of an interview with herself.
Many critics have found it hard to believe that the production of the podcast has consisted of 28 people, which include 8 executive producers, to make something that is ‘’in fact all about Meghan’.
Most of the online reviews also received a 1 – star rating to go with their harsh comments, aside from the odd comment siding with Meghan’s decision to ‘cut and run’ from the Royal Family’.
