Cardi B announced this week on social media that she is hoping to direct the upcoming music video of her husband, Offset.
The rapper revealed the news when responding to a post on social media sharing a clip from a short film from Atlanta artist Lyrik London. The video features dancers performing to Cardi’s 2019 single “Press,” whose music video she directed.
She was asked by a follower if she intends to direct more music videos, and Cardi B said she’s assuming that role in the creation of a visual for a forthcoming collaboration between Offset and an unnamed artist.
“I’m directing one [of] Offset’s music videos with a very sexy, talented artist ?… It’s going to [be] amazing,” Cardi wrote in another tweet.
Although she didn’t say who the artist is, it is expected it could be R&B singer-songwriter, Chlöe Bailey. The “Have Mercy” vocalist liked the tweet announcing Cardi B’s involvement with the video.
Offset reportedly teased a collab with Chlöe Bailey on an episode of Bardi Gang Radio and Chlöe previously worked with Cardi B on Facebook’s Cardi Tries reality show.
In 2021, Bailey went viral for her cover of Cardi’s “Be Careful.”
Cardi B and Offset have worked together on music before. The couple has worked together on records such as “Lick,” “Motorsport,” “Drip,” “Who Want The Smoke?,” “Clout,” and “Type S###.”
