The Wendy Williams Show will end because of Wendy’s prolonged health related absence and will be replaced with Sherri Shepherd this fall. Producer and distributor Debmar-Mercury says the new daytime show “Sherri” will “inherit” the time slots on the Fox network’s owned-and-operated stations. The executive said “We hope to be able to work with Wendy again in the future and continue to wish her a speedy recovery.” The company declined to comment further on her recent health issues, which Williams herself has not discussed. Williams spokesman Howard Bragman said it’s been a “challenging time” as she deals with her health and is grateful to Debmar-Mercury and others who have supported her show.
