Recent comments stated on Nick Cannon’s latest podcast have resulted in him being fired from Viacom Networks. In his show, Cannon’s Class, Nick referred to white people as “savages” and “animals.”
After that, Viacom, which owns VH1, BET, MTV, Nickelodeon, etc., decided to terminate their relationship with him over his remarks. They felt that what he said was “anti-Semitic” and contained hate speech.
Cannon released a statement on Facebook in which he demanded full ownership of the television show and an apology from the Viacom network.
Many of the comedians who partake in the show have made comments regarding the situation and how they plan to stay on Nick’s side. Other celebrities have also chimed in- Diddy even offered to place Wild’n Out on his network, Revolt TV, which is 100% black-owned.
Nick has since apologized to the Jewish community, deleted all of his Instagram posts, and taken a break from his radio show.
