Kanye West is giving a try to the tech world.

TMZ obtained legal documents that indicate he filed a trademark application on September 21 to get the name “Donda” on a tech line product.

His company is looking to lock up the rights to put “Donda” on a line of electronics, including tablet computers, audio speakers and surround sound systems.

Donda is a meaningful name to the Chicago-born star. It’s the first name of his mother, and he has already titled his tenth studio album after her.

West is no stranger to stepping outside the box. He has built a career around doing the unexpected and he has other business ventures including clothes.

This comes after the musician filed a previous trademark application in September to feature his name on a line of homeware goods.

West also has trademarked the name of his streetwear clothing line Yeezy and his film production company Half Beast.

Kanye West has always been obsessed with Apple, and his latest possible venture is a sign that he is orienting his careers towards the dreams and goals he already has.
