Back in 2015 when Kanye West announced that he was running for president at the MTV Music Awards, not too many people took him seriously. Over the last few years, he has gotten himself into a lot of controversy politically for wearing MAGA hats and speaking on sensitive topics.
However, it seems like Ye is ready to take his campaign seriously. On Independence Day, he posted a tweet that led with #2020Vision and included an American flag emoji. It is what seemed to be the jumpstart to his political journey.
