It’s a Cole world guys! After dropping his two singles from his upcoming album, J. Cole released a video that left fans stunned. In the video which was made to advertise the release of his new Puma shoe, the rapper hinted at his attempt to want to join the league.
The ad featured a voiceover from Master P, who is known for being a rapper and also playing in the NBA (nice marketing, Jermaine!). In the commercial, Cole is seen dribbling on the court while P talks in a somewhat doubtful voice. “You can’t be serious? I know you’re not about to try to do what I think you’re about to do. Because that would be crazy!”
When social media got a whiff of this news, they went crazy. There were a few doubters, but even more people hoping for his success.
Now, Cole is no rookie to the game. He went to St. Johns University, a D-1 school, and played basketball as a walk-on in 2007. He also displayed his talents in All-Star basketball games. There are several clips of the star on social media shooting three’s and crossing people left and right.
Since the ad, the Detroit Pistons have offered the rapper a 10-day contract. Do you think the he has what it takes to play in the big leagues?
