Rapper Kendrick Lamar has announced his return revealing the date of his fifth album after announcing his departure from his label Top Dawg Entertainment. He revealed his next album, called “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” will be released on May 13.
Lamar initially shared the news via Twitter in response to a tweet reading “Kendrick Lamar is officially retired.” The announcement came in the form of a pgLang release, viewable on the Oklama website. It says that it comes from Oklama—a name that Kendrick has been teasing in the past year—and “through his company pgLang.” As the release confirms, “all factual information for this release will come directly from this source only.”
