2006 X Factor winner Leona Lewis, is ready to relaunch her career this Christmas, after 6 years of not releasing any new music. Her last album, released in 2015, was called ‘’I Am’’.
Leona is hoping to reach #1 in the charts this Christmas, in a bid to top Mariah Carey and her iconic ‘’All I want for Christmas is You’’ hit.
Leona is known to have previously had a Christmas single back in 2013, ‘One More Sleep’, but is ready and waiting to top it, apparently with several new tracks in the works.
She has apparently been working on a ‘major update’ of her 2013 album, ‘Christmas with Love.’
A source has commented:
“Leona has recorded loads of new songs and there are some real belters in there. There’s real momentum behind her’’
“Mariah banks millions every year from her single, its accompanying album Merry Christmas and loads of big-money brand deals like her one with Walkers a few years ago. It’s a really lucrative oppor¬tunity for Leona to follow suit.
“She hasn’t had the easiest ride in music, especially over the last decade because of issues with record labels.
“But now she is throwing herself head-first into this comeback which her team think will help remind the British public why she won millions of fans on The X Factor all those years ago.”
Leona spent several years living in LA, but upon recently returning to the UK, she is ready to start promoting her records and start performing live again. Leona’s next live performance will start in November, following through to December, supporting Gary Barlow on his arena tour.
