
Stacy Abrams is officially taking her passion for storytelling to the next level. According to Hollywood Reporter, Abrams has signed a talent deal with United Talent Agency. The UTA is said to be working with Abrams on upcoming projects, one of which is related to voting rights. During this time period UTA is also expected to work with large names such as; Will Ferrell, Seth Meyers, and Chris Tucker. I am honored to be partnering with UTA on projects that further my work and reflect my passions,” Abrams said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “As the ‘Hollywood of the South,’ Georgia’s film and entertainment industry is a central part offy our economy and our culture. This partnership will allow me to provide my perspective as a Georgian, an author, a politician and an entrepreneur while working on projects in a vibrant and thriving Georgia industry.”
After her 2018 run for governor in the state of Georgia, Abrams started the “Fair Fight” initiative, which works to combat voter discrimination and suppression, while promoting fairness and secure elections. With this she has decided to dedicate her time to making sure that the voting process is fair and legal for all.
Although Abrams is one of Georgia’s most loved polticians, she is also no stranger to the entertainment business. Abrams has written eight romantic suspense novels under her alias Selena Montgomery. “It is an incredible honor to work with one of the nation’s most important and inspiring voices,” UTA head of culture and leadership Darnell Strom said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to help Stacey share her profound storytelling abilities, unique experience and optimistic leadership for the future.”
